IDTV Treasure Valley (Boise) Fall Foliage Ride

  • 29 Oct 2020
  • 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Boise to Marsing, Map Rock Road, Walters Ferry Loop

Dear TRA Members and Friends:

All TRA family and friends are welcome to join the IDTV Treasure Valley (Boise) Chapter this coming Thursday (October 29th) for an Awesome Fall Foliage TRA Ride!  Our thanks to Steve Hulme for suggesting a great route, as follows:

Meet at the Stinker/Sinclair Station on State Street (10500 West State Street, Boise) at 10:00 a.m. (kickstands up at 10:15 a.m.) and ride to Marsing, Map Rock Road to Walter's Ferry, a stop at Cleo's Ferry Museum, and then back to Boise (probably by around 2:30 -- 3:00 p.m.).  Bring a sack lunch for a quick lunch break at a nice location, perhaps in Marsing at the park next to the river.  Although it will be cooler in the morning hours, the projected high for Thursday is 62 degrees and SUNNY!

A few of us have never been to Cleo's Ferry Museum -- so we're looking forward to this "hidden gem" of some of Idaho's history.  Apparently, the museum is outdoors, so a protective mask (Covid-19) may not be necessary.  However, it might be a good idea to bring one just in case. Also, there is no fee to visit Cleo's Ferry Museum, but there is a receptacle for voluntary donations.

At a time when we're dealing with seasonal yard work, social distancing, and an overdose of politics -- we all NEED the peace and serenity of this TRA Fall Foliage Ride!  Granted, it's not a substitute for worshiping in the temple as a TRA group while enjoying our association there.  Nevertheless, speaking personally -- it can be a spiritual experience to ride through God's beautiful creations with friends who love the Lord and who love His holy house.

LET'S DO THIS!  Like our Brother Steve says, all work and no play might cause us to go Jack Torrance ("The Shining")!
